Selection notes

• Detection versus recognition — a 25 mm lens detects a human at about 1 km and recognises at about 400 m. Set the task before the lens.
• Mounting standard — Picatinny, dovetail and helmet interfaces differ in recoil rating — state the host weapon.
• Battery commonality — 18650, CR123 and internal Li-ion all appear in the range; standardise with your existing kit where possible.
