Handheld Thermal Imagers
Handheld and binocular thermal imagers for dismounted observation, patrol and border security.
MTC6107 and MFC6110 are uncooled 640×512 binocular imagers; MFC101 is a cooled binocular unit for long-range recognition. All three include image and video recording and are sealed for field use.
Cooled versus uncooled in the field
- Uncooled — instant-on, lower power, about 2–3 km human recognition with a 50 mm lens. The right default for patrol.
- Cooled — higher sensitivity and longer range, at the cost of cool-down time and battery. Use it when target identification at range is the job.
- Weight and battery — a binocular imager is carried for hours. Check the total system mass including batteries before you commit.
